So I’m really excited, cause it looks like I have a few commissions lining up. Talking to potential customers, and finding out what exactly they are looking for.

Bad thing is, I’m feeling really crippled at the moment. It started today after I got off my lunch break at work. I had a sudden pain in my lower back that flairs when I bend slightly forward or lift things, even something as light as a small potted plant or my purse. It has now progressed to the point where I have to heavily brace myself against the wall and furniture to walk.

It doesn’t hurt as bad when I lay down, but none of the medicine I’ve taken so far has had any effect on the pain levels. I don’t know how I’m going to go down the stairs of my apartment and get into my car to pick up my boyfriend from work at this point. Sheer will, I guess. I hope it clears up soon, cause I really can’t take much more of this shit.

My mommy had me check for signs of Shingles, cause I have a [horrible] history of contracting it at the worst times. But no signs around the offending area. Shingles usually attacks a nerve and causes a lot of soreness, tenderness, and pain along that nerve and region. Hopefully that isn’t what it is and I just have a pulled something.

THINGS ARE LOOKIN’ UP!

So other than me doing my challenge, which, by the way, is very hard, things have been going pretty well. All my aches are mostly gone, though my shoulder is a tad tender. I’m getting really good hours at work, which is essential. And finally…
My boyfriend has TWO JOB INTERVIEWS.

This is like… GIGANTIC news. The economy SUCKS. Pair that with the fact that he was out of work for two months due to a car accident, then couldn’t find another job right away… he’s been out of work for two years. Pretty much five months after we started dating, he got the boot. :< At the moment, he has been volunteering his work time to a local comic book store once a week or whenever they have need of him, and he has been doing that for about 8 months. I think it has helped, cause employers can see he is still trying to work. It’s also experience. It’s been so hard even getting interviews, though, that two calls in one day shocked us both!

The first call came from Macy’s for a holiday position.

The second is for Goodwill, which is the position I hope he gets, because it is full time and will most likely last longer than what Macy’s has in mind. Also, our room mate works at Macy’s, and it might be weird. Not sure why, but a job is a job, so if he gets that one than he’s taking it. XD

We’re just excited that he got calls, after months of silence from businesses.

I’ve also convinced him to try for his Driver’s License. Because, he’ll be needing it. I can’t drive him to work always, obviously, so if he can drop me off at work and drive himself, that would be a huge plus to the situation now.

I just hope that one of these two interviews will land him a job!

Dentist, work, shoulder, owwwwww.

So I went to the dentist on Monday, and after two hours of work, I leave with two of my fillings re-done in composite and the right part of my mouth, tongue, and face completely numb. Wee~ Now I’m still in a bit of pain. My jaw aches, and there is some tooth sensitivity, but over all I feel okay.

I’ve also worked 8 hours every day, Sunday, Tuesday and today, and my shoulder is still aching. I must have pulled something while I was sleeping, cause I’d know if I did it at work. I wasn’t liftin’ anything heavy before it started. To add to that ache…

I got a big paper cut on my right pointer finger from a very sharp cardboard box. I can’t hold my tablet pen properly, it’s so tender. :< Pushing through it, ART MUST GO ON.

Going to see a play!

I’m super excited for today, cause I’m going over to Seattle to see “Intergalactic Nemesis” at the Neptune! I just got our tickets printed, and now I just have to take a shower and get dressed and wake up my boyfriend. He sleeps like a log. =3= Which makes it hard getting him awake a lot of the time.

Also, a good friend just landed at SeaTac Airport! She’s moving back up to my town again after two years, and I’m really excited to see her too. Not sure if I’ll spot her today, but it will be nice having someone to hangout with.

So I have challenged myself to draw at least two pictures/fan art of well known comic book characters a week. So far, I drew Scarlet Witch on Monday, and I asked someone who faved it on dA who else they might like to see me draw? Just to get another character on my brain.

They said Jubilee! And I do believe I have delivered!

So there she is. And now that I am finished with the page that was due to Vas, I plan on inking her. YAYAYAYA!

Reasons why I hate my computer.

I don’t hate it all the time, but it does have it’s issues.

For example, restarting after an update without prompting me to postpone the restart, causing me to lose an hours worth of coloring work. Like it did five minutes ago. UGH. So, the page that I have due today? Yeah.. I get to start all over again after I get back from my IRL job. I’m mostly frustrated at myself for not saving earlier, but I was kinda into the coloring and forgot to do that. >o>

No I have to go work for 8 hours, then do laundry and clean at my Mom’s, and then rush home to re-do this page. BAAAHH.

Life. Ugh.

Hallelujah!

I finally finished the Soup Wars page that Vas sent me a week ago. >0< I think we are both kinda surprised at how much went into it, but I really liked the page, and I just started adding more and more detail till it engulfed me. o___<; That’s kinda how i work when a page really hits my cords right.

Anyways. I’m exhausted. I know Vas has to be tired too.

So after spending like another two hours working on the Soup Wars page, my computer suddenly shuts down while I’m making food… and I hadn’t saved.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Now to re-do everything I just did. >0<

Today I got a new hat, and I’m kicking ass on art!

I have the best boyfriend ever. Seriously.

The back story is, my favorite musical is “Hello Dolly” [Barbra Streisand version], and I love old fashioned clothing, and more importantly…. THE HATS. So my boyfriend bought me this:

It was a hat that I found at a local costume shop over a year ago. I fell in love with it instantly, and have admired it ever since. The costume shop is going out of business and it went on sale. My man bought it for me as an early birthday gift. <3 <3 <3
In short, I have an epic hat, and I’m planning a steam-punk outfit around this hat. I also feel pretty, and I’ve been wearing it around the house for the last five hours.

As for art! VAS sent me the next page for her Soup Wars webcomic, and I have apparently blown her away to the point of mindless ramblings, and she called me as soon as I sent her an update on my progress and told me how awesome it looked. I feel seriously special and amazing, but I had to tell her to stop while she was ahead so that my head doesn’t get too big from my ever growing ego. :B

Hopefully you all will be as amazed as VAS when the page is finally finished. <3
